Internet/Online Counselling and Psychotherapy
The impact of Covid-19 is having a profound effect on us all and possibly adding to already existing emotional anxieties and difficulties.
More than ever, working through these feelings and developing strategies of coping may be helpful in moving forwards during this challenging period of time.
As with many therapists and health-care professionals I am currently not offering face-to-face therapy sessions. I am however offering online (Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp) sessions to new clients.
For many people in the current situation there is also the additional difficulty of having to self-isolate. The advantage of internet counselling is that no individual is barred from help, whatever their health situation.
I have considerable experience and expertise in internet counselling, having used this mode of working many times with clients over the years. Feedback from clients has been very positive.
The relationship between therapist and client is key. I have found that it is just as possible to build a relationship of client/therapist trust and openness to exploration through online sessions as with the more traditional 'face to face' therapy sessions.
As with all modes of counselling and psychotherapy client confidentiality is assured.
I am happy to offer a free introductory online session to clients to provide the opportunity to 'meet me' and see how the experience feels for them.
